Package sizes and promotions make listed prices hard to compare directly. Normalize them first.
Convert to price per gram
Divide the package price by grams. One ounce is 28 grams as commonly sold, a quarter is 7 grams and an eighth is 3.5 grams.
Add the real costs
- Shipping, including any minimum-order threshold
- Applicable taxes at your address
- Any handling or signature fees
Compare like categories
Small buds, full-size flower and bulk lots are different sort categories. Compare within a category, then decide whether a category difference is worth the price gap to you.
Factor in documentation
A listing with a current, batch-matched lab report gives you more to verify than a cheaper listing without one.
